Mounting catch hooks
To mount catch hooks, you will need the following:
Step 1: Disassemble lifting arms
Disassemble the lifting arms from the tractor and place them on the workbench.
The center size of the lifting balls should match the center size of the catch hook.
Look at the angle at which the current lifting balls are mounted to the lifting arms.
Also copy this angle for the catch hooks.
Measure out the foregoing, determine where you will be grinding and mark it off.

Step 2: Cutting the lifting arms
Always consider your personal safety before grinding and wear appropriate work clothes, safety glasses, work gloves and hearing protection. You can grind, saw or cut off the lifting balls. Do this as straight as possible.

Step 3: Welding on the catch hooks
When welding, take care of your personal protective equipment and an approved welding hood.
Weld on the new catch hooks at the specified angle (taken from the old lifting balls). You can weld on the catch hook first and check the angle again. After welding, check if the welded catch hooks are tight.

Step 4: Finishing and assembling lifting arms
Let the newly welded catch hooks cool down, deburr, degrease and repaint them neatly in the color of the lifting arms. Then reattach the lifting links to the tractor. Fit the implements to be coupled with quick-change ball joints and you are ready! Enjoy your new quick coupler system.
